Afghan National Civil Order Force (ANCOF)

The Afghan National Civil Order Force came about with the reorganizaton of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in late 2017 and early 2018. The Afghan National Civil Order Police (ANCOP) that fell under the control of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) was split up. Part of ANCOP became the Public Security Police under the MoI and the majority of ANCOP became the ANCOF under the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in March 2018.
