A New Government

In the summer of 2021 the Taliban defeated the Afghans security forces and overthrew the Ghani government. They entered Kabul in August 2021 and began their consolidation of power. The eyes of the world is watching the new regime to see if they form an inclusive government.

Early indications are that there will be little inclusion of 'outsiders' in the senior leadership and ministry positions.
