Afghan War News > Secret Squirrel

There are a lot of Secret Squirrels running around Afghanistan. They are easily recognized by their appearance - beards, sunglasses, attitude, inability to salute or call someone "Sir", contractor attire and a pistol on their hip (or somewhere). However, when in uniform, these special operatives (Intel, HUMINTers, or special ops - no, sorry, PSDs are not Secret Squirrels) are difficult to pick out. So in an effort to keep them recognizable to each other they are required to wear (in a non-visible area) inside a uniform pocket, in their fag bag, or inside their field cap the "Secret Squirrel" patch. This helps them establish their bona fides to each other.
