Moral Compass Federation

The Moral Compass Federation is an umbrella group of volunteer non-profit organizations in the Afghan evac effort with a SOF focus assisting American and Afghan veterans.

One of the key people within the Moral Compass Federation is Daniel Elkins, the CEO of the Special Operations Association of America (SOAA). Other key personnel come from many of the over 16 SOF-focused groups within the Afghan evac effort.

The Moral Compass Federation is focused on advocacy, policy, and education solutions for the members of the Afghan military and police who served with Afghan SOF, intelligence, or Air Force units. The former personnel of Afghan National Army Special Operations Command (ANASOC), National Directorate of Security (NDS), Special Mission Wing (SMW), and other intel and SOF units are being persecuted by the Taliban regime . . . in many cases hunted down, detained, tortured, and killed.

During the Kabul non-combatant evacuation operation (NEO) of August 2021 many members of the federation were involved in the effort to get at-risk Afghans onto the Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) and onto evacuation aircraft. Following the departure on U.S. military forces on August 31st these organizations continued their efforts using aircraft chartered by volunteer organizations flying from the Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif airports. In addition, high risk Afghan personnel were evacuated over land routes into neighboring countries.

These Afghan evac organizations are continuing the evacuation efforts. In addition, the organizations are providing Afghan partners with life-saving food, shelter, clothing, and medical care to help them survive until they can be evacuated.

The support to the Afghans SOF and other at-risk Afghans does not stop with evacuation but continues as the Afghans are resettled into communities across the United States.

Organizations that belong to the Moral Compass Federation include:

Special Operations Association of America
Aces & Eights
CEEC.CHURCH

The Lifeline Foundation
OP620
Operation Freedom Birds
Operation Recovery
Operation Sacred Promise
Project Exodus
