Afghan Evacuees and UAE

Some Afghans at-risk seek to leave Afghanistan for neighoring countries. The United Arab Emirates is a short plane ride away. Depending on the status and documents available some Afghans may fly into the UAE; however, most are denied entry because of a lack of travel documents.

Emirates Humanitarian City. Many Afghans found their way to the United Arab Emirates via private volunteer organization charter flights and military flights. However, the majority of these people do not have an status that merits entry into the United States. They are now located in a refugee camp called the Emirates Humanitarian City (EHC) and their future is uncertain.

UAE's Golden Visa. The Golden Visa is available in Abu Dhabi for international talent working, creating, studying, excelling and investing in key areas. Some of these visas are available for up to ten years. This includes professionals and researcher in the field of science and knowledge such as doctors, specialists, scientists and inventors. It also is open to talented creative and sporting individual, and business, start-up and real estate investors in the emirate.
